Through monthly recognitions, students who demonstrate outstanding qualities and contribute positively to the environment will be honored. This recognition serves as a vital reminder of the impact that individual actions can have on the larger educational community and reinforces the importance of leadership traits in everyday activities.
In addition to highlighting student achievements, the ‘Student of the Month’ program emphasizes the significance of collaboration and teamwork. Nomination Process and Award Timeline
The nomination process for the ‘Student of the Month’ recognition at NEST Leaders is designed to be straightforward and engaging. Nominations will officially open on the last day of each month. Participants will have the opportunity to submit their nominations until 6.0 pm on the next day. This timeline allows individuals ample time to consider potential nominees and articulate their reasons for recommending a fellow student for this recognition. We welcome self-nominations as well as nominations from fellow students, NEST faculty, or faculty coordinators.
Once the nomination period concludes, the selected ‘Student of the Month’ will be announced in the first week of the following month. This timeline ensures that the nominations are processed efficiently. To streamline the submission process, nominations can be submitted through a designated Google Form. This form will be accessible via a link shared through WhatsApp, ensuring that all students have an easy way to participate in the nomination process.
It is important to note that for the first two months following the launch of this initiative, the award will be exclusive to students from the initial six colleges involved in the program. Since the last five colleges joined comparatively later and a few are still doing their experiential learning activities, these students have not been as involved as the students who joined initially. This exclusivity aims to recognize first those students who have invested more time than the late joiners. Since all students will have completed their projects by the end of August, the title will be open to all students. As the program expands, there will be opportunities to broaden the eligibility criteria to include all NEST students; however, the initial focus for the first two months will remain on the first six colleges.
