𝐃𝐫.𝐏𝐮𝐣𝐚 𝐃𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐨

𝐃𝐫.𝐏𝐮𝐣𝐚 𝐃𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐨 is a Physiologist by training and a medical educationist by profession, with 20 years of experience in teaching & research on students’ engagement with different learning approaches, innovative teaching-learning activities skills, and assessment strategies to identify potential high and low performers. She has an MD degree in Physiology and a Master’s in Health Professions Education (MHPE) from Keele University (UK) and is an experienced physiologist and a health professions educator. She is currently serving as Head of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Parul University, Gujarat, India, and contributes to and coordinates the development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities.

Spotlight on Dr. Pujah Dulloo and Dr. Ajit Dabholkar: Elevating Medical Education with Insight and Innovation

Dr. Pujah Dulloo stands at the intersection of academic excellence and educational innovation, bringing two decades of dedicated service to the field of physiology and medical education. With an MD in Physiology and a Master’s in Health Professions Education (MHPE) from Keele University, UK, Dr. Dulloo has consistently pushed the boundaries of traditional medical training. Her work focuses on student engagement, creative teaching-learning methodologies, and assessment strategies tailored to identify both high achievers and students who may need additional support. This nuanced understanding of learner diversity has informed her approach as both a teacher and a researcher.

Currently leading the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Parul University, Gujarat, Dr. Dulloo plays a vital role in establishing academic benchmarks across departments. Her leadership ensures that quality parameters are not only implemented but embraced by faculty and administration alike. She is known for her sharp academic judgment, particularly in aligning institutional goals with student-centric learning strategies.

Dr. Ajit Dabholkar, another towering figure in physiotherapy education, brings over 21 years of multifaceted experience spanning clinical expertise, academic leadership, and scholarly research. Currently the Professor and Head of Sports Physiotherapy at the School of Physiotherapy, D. Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai, Dr. Dabholkar is known for his dynamic leadership in integrating clinical precision with educational excellence.

An alumnus of GS Medical College, Mumbai, and a postgraduate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from TNMC, Nair Hospital, Dr. Dabholkar completed his PhD at D. Y. Patil University and is a proud GSMC-FAIMER Fellow. His involvement in health professions education includes the design of modules that align with global standards in competency-based learning and reflective practice. His accolades include the prestigious IAP Oration Award, reflecting his excellence in scientific thought leadership.

With chapters published in Jaypee and Springer publications, Dr. Dabholkar has actively shaped the discourse around sports physiotherapy, medical education, and curriculum reform. Dr. Ruchi Agarwal

Professor, Department of Pathology – BPS GMC Khanpur

Dr. Ruchi Agarwal is known for her keen academic insights and commitment to student growth. With extensive experience in pathology and mentoring, she encourages critical thinking and practical relevance. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐣𝐢𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐛𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐚𝐫 is Professor and Head of Sports Physiotherapy in School of Physiotherapy, D. Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai. He has a rich experience of more than 21 years as an academician, Clinician, and Researcher. He is a Graduate of the Prestigious GS Medical College, Mumbai, and a Post-Graduate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from TNMC, Nair Hospital, Mumbai. He has completed his PhD from D. Y. Patil University and is a fellow of the Foundation for Advancement of Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) from the prestigious GSMC FAIMER Institute. He has been awarded the IAP Oration award and many other awards for scientific presentations. He has published Book chapters in Jaypee and Springer publications.
