🌟 Honoring Leadership, Vision & Relentless Commitment

In July 2025, Team NEST is proud to shine the spotlight on a name that has become synonymous with student-led innovation within the medical community — Dr Avi Mittal, final-year MBBS student at PGIMS, Rohtak, and the visionary architect behind TechNEST, the official media and technology wing of NEST.

Being named Student of the Month is more than a monthly tradition — it is our way of honoring individuals who bring life to our mission through leadership, creativity, and sincere service. And Avi has done that, time and again, with unmatched clarity, intensity, and heart.

What sets this recognition apart is that Avi’s nomination came from his peers, fellow student leaders from across NEST institutions. The acknowledgment wasn’t self-proclaimed — it was earned, witnessed, and deeply felt by the community around him. And that, in itself, is the highest honor.

🔧 The Birth of TechNEST: More Than Just a Team

TechNEST didn’t exist in name or structure before Avi stepped up.

Where others saw a gap, he saw opportunity. Where others waited for someone to take charge, Avi took initiative. From zero frameworks and no pre-built systems, Avi envisioned a tech and media ecosystem that would support everything from NEST’s digital communication and college-level outreach to full-scale event documentation, design, and innovation.

He handpicked and mentored a team of student coders, designers, SEO specialists, and content editors — not just to execute tasks, but to grow with the mission. Under his guidance, what began as an informal tech support group matured into a fully-functional student-run cell that powers the digital face of the NEST movement.

Whether it’s the design of the NEST website, the creation of individual college pages, or the sophisticated SEO infrastructure, Avi ensured it wasn’t just about doing — it was about doing well, and doing together.

🚀 From Cell to Student-Powered Revolution

TechNEST today is not merely a support wing — it’s a living, breathing student movement driven by trust, responsibility, and ownership.

What Avi and his team have created transcends the expectations of student volunteering. His code of leadership focuses on three pillars:

Trust the learner. Elevate the beginner. Empower the builder.

Every day, his team lives these values. They show up with passion, debate with purpose, and work with pride. There’s mutual respect, skill-sharing, and a shared love for creation — and that’s because Avi built the culture before he built the system.

From late-night brainstorming sessions to sunrise content pushes before major launches, Avi has been a steady presence, not just instructing but actively contributing — writing content, editing visuals, debugging code, optimizing performance, and troubleshooting backends like a pro.

💻 Innovation in Action: Highlights from Avi’s Impact

Over the last few months, Avi has led, supervised, or contributed to numerous critical TechNEST initiatives:

  • ✅ Designed and deployed a WordPress-based NEST website with integrated SEO, dynamic college profiles, and newsletter-ready content flow.

  • ✅ Set up collaboration workflows ensuring every team member has a clear role and task transparency.

  • ✅ Initiated a feedback loop system for student interaction — including real-time suggestion forms, post-event retrospectives, and testimonial collection.

  • ✅ Created a scalable “College Page Framework” that allows each medical college under NEST to have its own customizable, high-impact presence on the website.

  • ✅ Introduced creative formats for social media storytelling, transforming standard posts into meaningful narratives that reflect student life and leadership.

Each of these projects is a testament to his multidimensional thinking — combining tech fluency with editorial finesse, leadership with empathy, and vision with consistency.

🎯 Leadership Rooted in Intention, Not Ego

Avi’s leadership doesn’t stem from loud declarations or titles — it stems from quiet reliability and genuine passion. He’s not just a coordinator — he’s the first to show up, the last to log off, and always the one asking, “How can we make this better?”

He actively listens. He appreciates good work. He gently corrects errors. And he takes full accountability for what the team produces — success or failure.

More importantly, he invests time in growing others. Juniors who didn’t know how to use Canva now lead design modules. Coders who feared SEO now write metadata like pros. His greatest legacy isn’t the tools — it’s the confidence he installs in his team.

🙌 A Culture-Changer Within NEST

Through his actions, Avi has shown that student leadership is not just a role — it’s a responsibility to create space for others to rise.

TechNEST under his leadership has become:

  • A learning playground for students who never thought they were “tech people.”

  • A resume-builder for those who want to pursue health-tech, media, or digital public health.

  • A safe space for creators who want to experiment, fail, learn, and rebuild — without judgment.

His culture-first approach has inspired other verticals within NEST to rethink how they manage student involvement. More collaborative. More open. More impactful.
