Want to Join NEST ? Here’s How 👇

The vision of NEST is leadership training and development in medical students through an integrated three-tier extracurricular approach.

You start with Phase 1: Training, move into Phase 2: Experiential learning projects, and finally step into Phase 3: National Collaboration — where students lead, represent, and inspire.

Phase-1: Students can become a part of NEST by first attending the official leadership workshop conducted under the NEST program — this is a mandatory entry point. These workshops are hosted in collaboration with your own medical college, so if NEST hasn’t reached your campus yet, you can ask your college authorities to connect with us. . The workshop can be conducted as part of your annual fest, annual research forum, as part of any conference or even as a standalone workshop. For each workshop, the minimum students should be 20 and maximum 30 over all academic years

Phase-2: Once you’ve attended the workshop, you move into phase-2 wherein you have to do at least one team based project in your own institute, into the community etc. All these projects will be done under the mentorship of mentors from NEST who will guide you through the process.

Phase-3: Now you are onboard the NEST system and can begin contributing across various verticals — from projects and content to outreach, research, or technology.

With  the belief that any single experience has the risk of dissipating, at NEST we ensure that our students have a plethora of opportunities to develop their leadership skills. NEST follows an apprenticeship-based leadership model, inspired by Lave and Wenger’s framework, wherein all students are given opportunities for participants at all levels to transition to leadership roles through active participation in its activities.

Leadership here isn’t assigned — it’s earned by doing.
