Professor Dr. Arunima Chaudhuri | Dean of Students’ Affairs | Department of Physiology

A passionate medical educator, researcher, and mentor, Dr. Arunima Chaudhuri brings over two decades of excellence in academics and medical education. She holds degrees in MBBS, MD (Physiology), PhD (Stress Management), and advanced training in Bioethics, Mental Health (NIMHANS), Health Professions Education (MHPE), and Medical Education (FAIMER, ESME, AMEE Dundee). With 168+ research publications, 30+ academic presentations, 20+ journal review roles, and editorial contributions including 5 book chapters and editing the book β€œCurrent Issues in Health Professions Education”, she is a driving force in shaping India’s medical education landscape. At Burdwan Medical College, she serves as a faculty coordinator for NEST, guiding students with compassion and inspiring leadership.

it was a session I didn't know I needed. But it will inarguably be one of the best insightful days of my life that we spent with ma'am, learning things about ourselves that we didn't know. Personally, I came out of it stronger as a person with the capacity to hone my strengths and to love who I am. The games and activities gave me the first hand experience of being a team working towards a common objective, held together by a pillar called leader. I was hoping for a discussion on how to hold onto the leadership with integrity and to use the power vested on us to the maximum extent without getting corrupted, a major problem in every tier of the society. It was definitely a turning point in my life.

I gave 3 in SWOT Analysis because I felt as if my weakness was not well addressed and overlooked. I understand that there was a time crunch and everyone couldn't be given a lot of time. But personally, it took a lot of guts to say out loud one of my most deep rooted weakness that I struggle with everyday and I didn't find a specific solution which I was looking forward to find. That's all, I understand that I can take initiative from my side and help myself and I will do exactly that. Otherwise the whole session was great, very interactive, everyone was listened to. And it helped me develop some skills and understand myself better. Thank you so much.

Tha sessions were very much helpful in developing my communication, team management, group management skill. Being a introvert it was difficult for me to speak or do any task in front of a mass but with this session i was able overcome this fear up to a extent and was able speak in front of others and was also able to actively participate in the group activities specially the roleplays
